We have over 50 voter services/education events planned between now and the end of October. With more on the way!

The events range from candidate forums to voter education and registration drives at Charlotte/Mecklenburg libraries, retail sites like Lush and Patagonia, festivals like Charlotte Pride, Crisis Assistance Ministry, partnerships with other organizations, and one-off events/locations all over the area. Come and join the fun! What Happens After You Vote in NC?

What happens after we vote? What does the tabulation process look like? Who does it involve? It’s more important than ever that North Carolina voters understand this process. Where do our election results come from?

NC Voter Registration Information

North Carolina has revised the voter registration form. One of the key sections - Section 3 - requires Voter Identification Information - (1) Date of Birth and (2) NC Driver's License or DMV State ID, or Free Voter ID issued by your county Board of Elections or US Passport or passport card or various other NC State Board of Elections-approved forms of ID. Learn more here. 

Note: "If you have an NC driver's license or NCDMV ID number you must provide this number. If not, you must provide the last four digits of your social security number. If you have none of these ID numbers and you are registering to vote for the first time in North Carolina, you must check the box indicating that you do not have these forms of identification."

The voter registration cannot be processed if Section 3 is not completed.
